Cades Cove
Open fields lap against 5,500-foot mountain peaks. With more than 2.5 million visitors annually, it is the Park's most popular destination. Most people come to these 5,000 open acres to observe the wildlife. In addition to the wide variety of wildlife, several historic buildings date to the nineteenth century, including a working grist mill, barns, three churches, pioneer log cabins, and frame houses.

Great Smoky Mountain National Park

Trail of the Dragon
The Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap, with 318 curves in 11 miles, is America's number one motorcycle and sports car road. The nearby Cherohala Skyway is quickly becoming number two with its remote 60 miles of scenic mountain highway. The area also has other roads less traveled, but just as exciting. Discover them all.
